AUTOMATED OPTICAL INSPECTION (AOI)

The Automated Optical Inspection machine (AOI) checks not only first piece builds, but production runs on an AQL or 100%.

It checks for component placement, orientation, polarity, correct component, and solder quality.

Our AOI machine offers us high-speed PCB inspection with exceptional defect detection.  With this machine we can check for solder paste deposition, component placement presence, value, and polarity.

We have included our AOI right in our build process.  Our AOI can be used from small prototype runs, through larger production runs. In doing so we have insured that our customers will receive a quality product.

Saline Lectronics’ automated optical inspection (AOI) eliminates the subjectivity and variability occasionally associated with manual visual inspection. AOI is integrated into the automatic PCB assembly process to provide either an AQL or 100% SMT component placement, polarity orientation and solder-joint inspection.
