Ionic Cleanliness Test
At Saline Lectronics we take the quality of our manufactured printed circuit boards very seriously
Printed circuit board (PCB) performance and reliability is negatively affected by the presence of conducting materials such as residues from the manufacturing process, dust, flux, or machine maintenance oils. These conducting materials, in the presence of water, can corrode and form dendrites connecting tracks or pads on the board, interfering with the board’s performance, causing short circuits, corrosion, or failure.
Preventing ionic contamination is an important component of our quality assurance process. Saline Lectronics offers production and high-volume ionic contamination testing with our SCS Ionograph SMD II. Submerged agitation jets and heated extract solution provide outstanding sensitivity, operation efficiency and the ability to test ultra-fine pitch components with ease and accuracy.
The Specialty Coating Systems Ionograph SMD II meets industry specifications such as MIL-STD-2000A, IPC-TM-650 and ANSI/J-STD-001.
